Job Title: Production Supervisor

Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location: This role will be based at HQ, Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim.

Purpose: Working in a busy production environment, you will play a key role to deliver manufacturing excellence and continuous improvements through people, plant and process - specifically health, safety and wellbeing, customer experience, quality and process improvement.

The focus of this role will be to coach and mentor the team to deepen cross skilling and knowledge, build on developing employee pride and drive forward a customer-focused and continuous improvement culture.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take responsibility for health, safety, and well-being to deliver a safety-first culture
  • Responsibility for managing daily, weekly and monthly workflows to meet production targets
  • Management of production planning and scheduling ensuring service metrics are achieved to delight our customer expectations.
  • Oversee production activities, solving problems and putting in place improvements to avoid reoccurrence of the same problems
  • Monitor and improve production processes to ensure maximum output and efficiency
  • Deepen skills and knowledge of Operators by continuing to build on a culture of cross-skilling ensuring optimum levels of cross-skilling in critical areas of the plant.
  • Responsibility for hygiene to ensure all production areas are maintained to consistent levels of excellence and deepen employee pride in their areas of work.
  • Oversee and conduct daily stand-up meetings to communicate key performance areas, production targets and relevant information relating to the department and the Organisation.
  • Provide Supervision to the team to create a performance culture by coaching and mentoring to enhance overall team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Warehousing Manager to build on a culture where the brand is represented through exceptional presentation and hygiene standards for all finished products.
  • Demonstrate resiliency and ambition to build and drive sustainable manufacturing excellence
  • Demonstrate a change instigator mindset to lead our continuous improvement and change culture
  • Act an ambassador for our company values and behaviours

Education

  • Educated to at least GCSE level
  • Educated to Graduate Level
  • Manufacturing Qualification

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience gained in a manufacturing environment, or similar role
  • Evidence of supervision of production in a busy environment
  • Knowledge of current H&S legislation
  • Experience within a Manufacturing environment in a similar industry.
  • Evidence of lean manufacturing

Skills

  • Strong leadership people capability development

A change leader who can take people with them

Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organisational, planning and scheduling
  • Evidence of delivering and maintaining a continuous improvement culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a sense of urgency

Computer literate with Microsoft Office suite
