Our History

Established in 1939 our business has grown with a focus on innovation, ambitious growth and a whole hearted approach to the customer experience.

Kilwaughter is a privately-owned business with a rich heritage, created around the quarry in Northern Ireland which has been driven and developed to incorporate two manufacturing operations over 75 acres and 4 distribution centres. These operational facilities are the lynchpin of the company purpose and vision, delivering innovative and high quality products.

Kilwaughter have four brands operating within the construction and agricultural industries throughout the UK & Ireland; K Rend, K Systems, Kilwaughter Lime, K Landscapes.

Across all company brands and industries, an outstanding customer experience and a long-term partnership approach are essential elements to business practice – our aim is to delight our customers in everything we do.

We are proud of the range of customers and suppliers we deal with and the long standing relationships we have - ranging from small independent merchants to large national chains, architects, applicators and installers, farmers and property owners.

Bulk Minerals – New Online Ordering Portal

Kilwaughter Minerals have recently launched a new online bulk ordering system (available on desktop and mobile). With a wide range of powders, sands and other aggregates available for bulk delivery or collection, you can view live information on available volumes and secure your order without even speaking to a person!

Our excellent customer services team will then be in touch to confirm your order. This is the first online portal of its kind in our industry, and we are delighted to be able to welcome new customers to the system.

NEW RENDER MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
In 2011, a state of the art K Rend Wet Plant facility was established for the production of our Silicone TC range

STATE OF THE ART TRAINING FACILITY
The "Centre of Excellence" was built at the K Rend Headquarters to facilitate monthly Product Training Courses
2015
NEW GRANULATION PLANT
The company celebrated it's 75th year in business and invested in a new Granulation plant to support the manufacturing of the agricultural products such as G-Lime and MasterCAL
2016
COMPANY NAME CHANGE
The company began trading as Kilwaughter Minerals Ltd
2018
Acquisition of Alumasc Facades
Kilwaughter Minerals acquired leading UK manufacturer of External Wall Insulation and render products, Alumasc Facades and began trading as Alumasc Facades by K Rend
2019
K Systems launch
The company relaunched Alumasc facades by K Rend as K Systems into the EWI market in October 2019
