Purpose:

As part of our business growth strategy, we are investing in our K Systems sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and work as part of a growing business that is prepared to invest in your future.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, driven and tenacious EWI Specification Manager to join our team. We are a £50m+ turnover business with a strategy and drive to grow, and this is a pivotal role which will unlock additional capability to support our ambition.

Working as part of an enthusiastic and dynamic sales team you will be primarily responsible for promoting a comprehensive range of EWI systems and specifications through day-to-day management of the sales territory and customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new sales leads through calls, visits, CPDs, exhibitions and external lead providers, across a range of sectors both new-build and refurbishment
  • Promote and sell the benefits of our EWI systems and specifications to a range of stakeholders including clients, architects, local authority asset managers, main contractors, sub-contractor approved installers, housing associations etc.
  • Manage and grow the territory’s sales pipeline, accurately tracking projects to improve hit rate and grow revenue
  • Prepare concise and accurate commercial reports to inform the business about market activity, new opportunities and threats, and accurate revenue forecasting
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of current and future market trends, industry legislation and competitor capability
  • Research and identify new areas to develop our EWI system offering to capitalise on current and future opportunities
  • Build rapport and strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers in your territory, selling the value benefits of our systems, service and expertise to affirm K Systems as their EWI supplier of choice
  • Maintain and grow our network of approved installers, supporting with their technical queries and commercial needs and developing a reciprocal lead sharing trading relationship
  • Demonstrate a sound technical knowledge for EWI systems and an ability to manage complex projects
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations to achieve a win/win outcome which satisfies both our customers' and K Systems needs
  • Deliver CPD presentations to a diverse range of customers to raise awareness of EWI Systems, specifications and service offering
  • Maintain collaborative working practices, developing good rapport and effective relationships with all internal stakeholders. Work closely with representatives of other product lines to leverage our scale and capitalise on all selling opportunities for a project

Education

  • A minimum of GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ external wall insulation (EWI) or facade specification experience in the construction Industry / associated industries
  • Experience of specification sales via architects, local authorities, main contractors and specialist approved installers to new build projects
  • Knowledge of timber frame, off-site manufacture, volumetric house building or rain screen / ventilated systems
  • Existing relationships with key customers

Skills and Competences

  • Experience providing on-site technical support and effective complaints handling
  • Account management experience i.e. growth plans, credit management
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to meet KPI’s and achieve sales growth
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the capability to agree specifications and prepare quotations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, planning and prioritising ability
  • Computer literate with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Circumstances

  • Able to work flexible hours as required and to travel as required to ensure business needs are met
  • Able to work away from home if required
  • Possess a full, current driving licence
