The Kilwaughter Minerals Larne 10 Miler will take place on Saturday 25th March 2023 offering runners the opportunity to take on one of the flattest and fastest 10-mile race routes in the UK and Ireland.
The race, open to elite club runners, fun runners, and everyone in between, returns for a second year following the huge success of the inaugural race in 2022 which saw more than 700 participants run the roads of Larne.
Speaking at the launch of the 2023 Larne 10 Miler, Kilwaughter Minerals’ Head of Business Development, Caroline Rowley, said:
“We are thrilled to once again partner with Larne Athletic Club and officially launch the 2023 race.
“At Kilwaughter, we pride ourselves on giving back to our community, supporting initiatives which shine a spotlight on our town, and creating opportunities for better social, mental, and physical wellbeing.
“The Larne 10 Miler ticks all those boxes and is a fantastic chance for runners, both near and far, to come together for some competitive fun whilst enjoying the scenic views of Northern Ireland’s iconic coast road.
“We look forward to seeing both familiar and new faces taking to the start line in March.”
Expecting an even greater number of participants for 2023’s Kilwaughter Minerals Larne 10 Miler, Larne Athletic Club Chairman William Thompson, said at the launch:
“Together with Kilwaughter Minerals we put on a superb race event last year attracting athletes from across the country.
“Based on the impressive race times recorded, the fun had, and the positive feedback we received from participants and residents alike, we expect our 2023 race to be an even bigger event.
“We are delighted to have Kilwaughter Minerals on board again to make that happen, and with entries for this year’s race now open, we encourage runners of all ages and abilities to register to take part.”
Starting at 10.00am on Saturday 25th March, runners in the Kilwaughter Minerals Larne 10 Miler will take off from the promenade, pound the pavement through the famous Black Arch, and finish amongst crowds of supporters at Larne leisure centre.
